Here are some great flu prevention tips:
1. Get plenty of rest – stay in bed a few minutes longer. Who doesn’t love that, right?!
2. Keep your nasal passages from drying out – they help in your first line of defense against colds and flu. Use a humidifier in dry rooms, but also lightly use an oil like almond or jojoba in/around your nose.
3. Wash, wash, wash your hands! Don’t touch your face without having washed up first.
4. Boost your Vit D and Vit C intake and drink lots of fluids. All help keep your immune system strong.
5. Keep your hands/feet warm and neck covered – In TCM, keeping those areas warm all help ward off catching what’s going around.
And of course, see your local acupuncturist to help boost your system, or call at the first sign of symptoms to help cut the severity or duration of an illness. Stay well everyone!
